LMS - Learning Management System

Overview

The Learning Management System (LMS) is a multi-tenant platform built to help educational institutions run their day-to-day academic operations from a single system. It was developed and sold to multiple institutions, including Centaurus Academy, TCS Ravi, and TCS Shalimar, each running the platform under their own branded instance with role-based access for admins, teachers, students, and parents.

The product was designed to replace the fragmented mix of spreadsheets, paper attendance registers, and manual report cards that most academies were relying on.

The Problem

Academies and training centers commonly struggled with:

• No single source of truth for student attendance and performance
• Manual, error-prone monthly report generation for parents
• Disconnected systems for assignments, quizzes, and grading
• No real-time visibility into teacher or class-level KPIs
• Time lost compiling data instead of teaching

The Solution

We built a cloud-based LMS that centralizes attendance, academics, and communication into one platform. The system integrates with biometric attendance hardware, automates monthly student report generation, and gives administrators KPI dashboards to monitor performance across classes and campuses in real time.

Automated notifications, powered by AWS SES, keep parents and staff informed without manual follow-up from front-desk or academic teams.

Since adoption, the platform has scaled to support thousands of students and hundreds of teachers across multiple institutions, while cutting down the manual hours academic staff previously spent on attendance and reporting.
